A number of teachers and representatives of the education sector received awards from the Ministry of Education and Science on the "Teacher's Day". The awards were presented by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Manuk Mkrtchyan. Congratulating the participants, the Deputy Minister outlined the significance of the teacher's work for the state and the society. "We hope that the society will evolve into a level where the most respected layer will be considered a teacher and the teacher's opinion will be the most significant'', mentioned the Deputy Minister, adding, that teachers implement such a resposible work in socio-economic difficult conditions, that their work can be assessed heroic without hesitation. "Teachers are heroes, whose daily struggle is in the classroom and is aimed at shaping a worthy citizen of the country," M. Mkrtchyan said, addressing the teachers and wishing them creative accomplishments, personal happiness and health.
During the event, three dozen of representatives of the education sector were awarded the highest award of the MES, the" Golden medal ". A number of teachers were granted honorary diplomas and certificates of appreciation from the Minister of Education and Science.
