Todasy the Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan received the director of "National Autism Foundation" , board members and the representatives of parental organization "Overcoming Autism". The Minister highly appreciated the activities of the Foundation, stressing that children with autism will alwasys be a government priority. The Chairman of "National Autism Foundation" Board presented the activities of "My Way" training and rehabilitation center, noting that at present 117 children attend the center,
and the flow of the registered ones is very large, so the need has arisen for additional staff members. The Foundation has 51 employees. According to her, the Foundation also provides services for children from other regionsof RA and from Artsakh.
Note that in 2012, on the initiative of the first lady R. Sargsyan "National Autism Foundation" was founded, which aims to tackle education and adaptation issues of autistic children, young people and adults, to help them lead a healthy life, and to contribute to the enhancement of the efficiency in the integration proces of their families. State funding in Armenia allowed to found "My Way" training and rehabilitation center in 2014, where in accordance with the required building conditions, modern educational technologies and in the appropriate environment effective therapeutic correctional treatment is provided.
