A ceremony was held today at the State Theater of Musical Comedy after H. Paronyan on the occasion of the “Teacher’s Day”, where awards were handed to a number of educators of the Republic. The event was attended by the NA Vice President Hermine Nghdalyan, Defense Minister of RA Vigen Sargsyan, Education and Science Minister of RA Levon Mkrtchyan, the NA deputies and the representatives of the education and defense sector.
The teachers of the soldiers killed during the April 4-day war were invited to this event and awarded. A group of teachers were awarded with the RA NA President's and the Prime Minister's commemorative medals, which were handed by the NA Vice President. The Defense Minister handed awards to the teachers as well.
Congratulating all the teachers of the Republic on their professional holiday, Minister Levon Mkrtchyan underlined the importance of holding the event in that format. “When we honor, emphasize and value our past and our heroes, then we can face our future and the realization of our dreams more proudly. I extend special thanks to all the teachers who are able to keep and transmit this important philosophy to the future generation in our schools'', highlighted Levon Mkrtchyan.
A number of teachers were awarded ''Gold medal'', the highest award of the Ministry of Education and Science, on the Teacher’s Day for their significant contribution to the education and patriotic upbringing.
