The RA Ministry of Education and Science hosts world famous scientist Yuri Oganessian

Today, the RA Ministry of Education and Science has hosted world famous scientist Yuri Oganessian. In 2016 the elements 115 and 118 of Mendeleev’s periodic table were named Moscovium (Mc) and Oganesson (Og) to honor Yuri Oganessian.

The scientist told the staff of the Ministry about the history of his life, professional choice and the history of the creation of the above-mentioned elements.

The participants of the meeting asked some questions related to the prospects of science development in Armenia, professions of the future, professional orientation and a number of other issues.
