During his official visit to Paris, the RA Acting Minister of Education and Science, Arayik Harutyunyan, met with the EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas. During the meeting, the issues of the efficiency of Science Management in the Republic of Armenia and “Horizon-2020” Research and Innovation Framework Programs were discussed. The Parties particularly focused on the development of an assessment model of the activities of the research institutes within the limits of the “possible support” that will be provided to Armenia within the framework of the programs. In the frame of the same support, the activities towards the improvement of the research component in higher education, as well as the development of a road map were discussed. The EU Commissioner expressed his readiness to provide support to the proposed programs of the RA educational reforms, as well as to the development of the assessment model of the activities of the research institutes. The Commissioner also highlighted the importance of opening a branch of the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies in Paris․
