The Head of the Chinese branch in Confucius Institute Yang Mei Wu was awarded with the certificate by the Ministry of Education and Science for his great contribution in developing the Chinese Language and Culture in Armenia. In presenting the award, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, expressed his appreciation how, as a result of the expansion of the Confucius Institute, the Chinese Language and its Culture have stirred a great interest in our country. «The large numbers of applicants to the Armenian-Chinese Friendship School confirms this. Although the aforementioned school is the biggest in the region, we need to initiate other interesting projects with China. Our country has traditional historical relations with China, and this cooperation should be extended in education and science, particularly in the student exchange and the realization of scientific programs,” the Deputy Minister stated.
Yang Mei Wu expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science for acknowledging the efforts of Confucius Institute, highlighting that this will be the best stimulus for the future efficient cooperation. “We will do everything possible to expand and develop more the Armenian-Chinese cooperation in education and science,” stated the Head of the Chinese branch of Confucius Institute.
