Erasmus+ Information Days, organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia were launched at Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), during which Key Action 1 (International Credit Mobility and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees) was presented.
Welcoming the participants of the event, Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan highlighted the intensive work implemented over these years by the National Erasmus+ Office, which enabled certain involvement of our educational system in international dimension. "The higher education system is developing dramatically, where the vector is directed towards the credit system. We have much work to do till the ultimate establishment of a credit system in the field of education in our country. Our first task is to ensure the internal student mobility among the universities of Armenia. If we want to have international quality education, especially at master's level, and at bachelor's final stage, we have to combine university resources, to create a universal platform for cooperation of universities, where the student will be able to move freely in Armenian research and education institutions with the acquired credits, as well as to enrich their knowledge in international education centers”, stressed L. Mkrtchyan. The Minister encouraged the participants of the program to play an active role in the development of the university system in Armenia and in design of students’ internal mobility format, taking into account the Erasmus experience.
