Spring school holidays moved to March 2-8

As part of the measures to prevent acute respiratory diseases, in particular coronavirus infections in the country, a decision was made to move the spring holidays of the academic school year 2019-2020 for students of 2-12-th grades from March 23-29 to March 2-8, and for the first graders to move the holidays from March 16-29 inclusive to March 2-8, and March 23-29 inclusive.

By the order of the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan, pre-school educational institutions, schools, VET institutions, art schools, and HEIs will be closed from March 2 - 8. The Government studies the situation and monitors developments every hour.

“The safety and health of our children and the atmosphere of mutual trust are important to us, and this decision also has certain preventive value. I urge you to follow only the official news, to refrain from spreading rumours and false information,” stated Minister Arayik Harutyunyan”

In addition, as part of measure to fight against coronavirus infection, the Ministry of Health has undertaken the activities of printing informational posters. The MoESCS has issued a circular for schools, VET schools, higher education institutions, as well as cultural centres and sports schools, which proposes to place information posters in a prominent place.
