The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia has not received specific instructions from the Ministry of Health; accordingly, classes in educational institutions will resume on Monday, March 9. This was stated by the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan at the meeting of the RA Government on March 5. He also said that he maintains daily contact with the Minister of Health. In the absence of new mediation in the coming days in the field of prevention of acute respiratory infections and the spread of coronavirus in the Republic, preschool institutions, schools, VET schools and HEIs will resume their normal working regime.
It should be reminded that the institutions are closed from March 2 to 8. The spring holidays for general educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia of the academic school year 2019-2020 for students of 2-12th grades were moved from March 23-29 to March 2-8, and for the first graders from March 16-29 to March 2-8, and March 23-29 inclusive.
